Chambolle-Musigny 2018


Deze village is afkomstig van twee lieu-dits: Derrière le Four en, vooral (voor 80%), Beaux Bruns (dat overigens gedeeltelijk ook is geklasseerd als Premier Cru).
The Wine Advocate: ‘Blossoming in the glass with a lovely bouquet of raspberries, cherries, dried flowers and blood orange, the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village is medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, with fine-boned structuring tannins and succulent acids. As usual, it's largely derived from the lieu-dit Beaux Bruns, part of which is only entitled to the communal appellation.’ (89-91 punten)
Chambolle-Musigny 2019
In de herfst van 2020sprak Boillot over zijn 2019 die toen nog op vat zat als "de meest elegante en verfijnde jaargang met mooie fraîcheur die we hier in de recente warme oogstjaren hebben gehad”. Eenmaal op de fles, worden zijn woorden absoluut bewaarheid.
The Wine Advocate: “Pretty and perfumed, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village opens in the glass with notes of cherries, raspberries, rose petals and spices, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with a lively core of fruit and refined tannins, it concludes with a long, floral finish.” (90/100 punten).
Volnay Premier Cru “Les Brouillards” 2018
“Les Brouillards” is gelegen op de grens met Pommard. Geen wonder dat deze wijn de structuur van Pommard en de elegantie van Volnay in zich verenigt.
The Wine Advocate: “Aromas of cassis, cherries and wild berries mingling with notes of warm spices and rich soil tones introduce the 2018 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards, a medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent wine that's elegant and penetrating, its ripe tannins cloaked in a sappy core of fruit.” (91-93 punten).
Volnay Premier Cru “Les Brouillards” 2019
The Wine Advocate: “The 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards has turned out especially well. Opening in the glass with aromas of red berries and plums mingled with sweet soil tones, hints of raw cocoa and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, with terrific concentration and beautifully refined tannins. Boillot observes, and I agree, that this site's tannins have become much more refined over the last five years.” (93/100 punten).
Volnay Premier Cru “Clos des Angles 2019”


The Wine Advocate: The 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Angles is sensual and charming, bursting from the glass with aromas of plums, raw cocoa, sweet spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, it's lively and textural, with a broad attack and a long, expansive finish. (92/100 punten)
Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Evocelles” 2018


Les Evocelles grenst aan één kant aan de Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Crus “Champeaux” en “Les Goulots” en wordt beschouwd als een van de beste wijngaarden met village-status van Gevrey-Chambertin. De stokken op het perceel van Louis Boillot van 0,19 ha hebben de gemiddelde leeftijd van 70 jaar!
The Wine Advocate: “The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles is a touch more reserved, unwinding to reveal a brooding bouquet of cherries, berries, dark chocolate, grilled meats and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, it's concentrated and introverted, with powdery structuring tannins and a mineral finish.” (90-92+ punten)
Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Evocelles” 2019
The Wine Advocate:“A lovely cuvée from this prime hillside lieu-dit is the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles. Wafting from the glass with notions of cassis, wild berries, forest floor, violets and dark chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, with lively acids, melting tannins and a long, saline finish. This has turned out brilliantly.” (92/100 punten)
Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru “Champonnet” 2018


Champonnet iseen op het noord/noordoosten gelegen wijngaard, aan het uiteinde van de inham van Lavaut, aan de Grand Cru-zijde van Gevrey en wordt, net als de Grands Crus, beschermd tegen de koele westenwinden.
The Wine Advocate: “The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champonnet has turned out brilliantly, wafting from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of cherries, cassis, wild berries, rose petals and sweet soil tones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit, powdery tannins and succulent acids.” (91-93 punten)
Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru “Champonnet” 2019
The Wine Advocate: “The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champonnet unfurls in the glass with aromas of red berries and plums mingled with notions of raw cocoa, licorice and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and refined, with fine, powdery tannins and a long, perfumed finish, it will reward some bottle age.” (92+ punten)
Burghound: “A pure and airy combination is composed by notes of essence of red cherry along with those of earth, pepper and a hint of the sauvage. There is both excellent richness and underlying tension to the tautly muscular flavors that flash good power and a bracing salinity on the impressively persistent finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is also quite good and worthy of interest”. (91-93 punten)
Gevrey-Chambertin 2019
Deze village is afkomstigvan 8 verschillende lieu-dits die de Gevrey Chambertin village status hebben, waarvan een perceel van 1,5 hectare in “Le Fourneau”. De pinot noirstokken hebben de gemiddelde leeftijd van 50-70 jaar. De wijn werd gedurende 18 maanden op eikenhouten vaten opgevoed waarvan 20% nieuw en werd voor botteling noch geklaard noch gefilterd.
The Wine Advocate: ”The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has fulfilled all the promise it showed from barrel, bursting with aromas of wild berries, cherries, sweet spices, loamy soil and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and vibrant, it's deep and concentrated, with a seamless profile and a saline finish. It's well worth seeking out.”(91/100 punten)
Burghound: “There is a suggestion of herbal tea to the high-toned red berry fruit, newly turned earth and underbrush scented nose. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the saline-inflected flavors on the youthfully austere finale. This is really quite good for its level and worth checking out.” (89-91 punten)
Domaine Louis Boillot & Fils Pommard Cru "Les Fremiers" 2018


“Les Fremiers” grenst aan Volnay en aan louter andere Premier Cru climats. Het perceel van Louis Boillot is aangeplant met pinot noirstokken die de bijzonder respectabele leeftijd van 90 jaar hebben bereikt.

Moulin-à-Vent “Les Rouchaux” 2018


Geweldige Cru du Beaujolais afkomstig van gemiddeld 60 jaar oude stokken aangeplant op moederrots van blauw graniet. Voor Cru du Beaujolais opmerkelijke lange opvoeding gedurende 20 (!) maanden (2/3 in eikenhouten foeders van 500 liter en 1/3 in eikenhouten vaten, waarvan 10% nieuw). Voor het bottelen wordt deze Moulin-à-Vent noch geklaard noch gefilterd. Wijn met een voortreffelijk rijpingspotentieel (2019 kan bewaard worden tot 2035 en de 2018 zelfs tot 2045!).
The Wine Advocate: “Mingling notes of cherries and mulberries with hints of dark chocolate, rose petals and spices, the 2018 Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux is medium to full-bodied, with an ample core of fruit, lively acids and fine-grained, chalky tannins and a long, flavorful finish.
One of a growing number of Côte d'Or producers to acquire land in the Beaujolais, Louis Boillot—whose wines I taste every year in the cellars in Chambolle-Musigny that he shares with his spouse, Ghislaine Barthod—is producing superb examples of Moulin-à-Vent and Fleurie. Classically vinified and given an unusually long élevage by the standards of the region, these are serious, elegantly muscular cru Beaujolais built to age with grace, and they come warmly recommended.” (92+/100 punten)
Moulin-à-Vent “Les Rouchaux” 2019
The Wine Advocate: “The 2019 Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux wafts from the glass with notes of dark berry fruit, sweet spices, peonies and raw cocoa, delicately patinated by its élevage in used wood. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with fine concentration, powdery tannins and a spicy finish, it's seamless and complete.” (92/100 punten)
Allen Meadows (Burghound) “Here the expressive nose is compositionally similar to the old vines cuvée but with more evident spice elements. The impressively concentrated and almost opulently rich big-bodied flavors are muscular and powerful, all wrapped in a mouth coating and incredibly long finish. This is a knockout though note well that if you wish to drink it at its peak, plenty of patience will be necessary.” (91-94 punten)
Fleurie “Grille-Midi” 2019


The Wine Advocate: “Aromas of raspberries, plums, peonies and warm spices introduce the 2019 Fleurie Grille-Midi, a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively wine that's delicate and refined, with ripe tannins and a succulent core of fruit. As was the case in 2018, this is one of the most elegant wines in the range.” (93/100 punten)
