Château La Tour Carnet 2019 Haut Medoc 4e Grand Cru Classé
"Magrez's flagship Haut-Médoc estate has been producing sterling wines over recent years and this is another success. Confident and ambitious as is his signature, this combines a gourmet raspberry puree feel with tight and controlled cassis and cedar notes, rolled up with a fresh mint finish." - Decanter ( Jane Anson)

James Suckling
94/100 punten
A solid Haut-Medoc with currant and walnut character and some dried mushroom. It’s full-bodied with medium, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Well done. Drink after 2024.

92/100 punten
Offering up aromas of rich cassis and blackberry fruit mingled with burning embers, loamy soil and cigar wrapper, the 2019 La Tour Carnet is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a broad attack that segues into an ample core of fruit that's framed by ripe, powdery tannins and lively acids. This is a seamless, rather giving Médoc that has turned out very well.

Magrez's flagship Haut-Médoc estate has been producing sterling wines over recent years and this is another success. Confident and ambitious as is his signature, this combines a gourmet raspberry puree feel with tight and controlled cassis and cedar notes, rolled up with a fresh mint finish. Real precision on display. Harvest September 20 to October 10. Now competing for the title of biggest estate in the Médoc at 176ha. Michel Rolland consultant, 30% new oak.
