Château Doisy-Daëne is geclassificeerd als Deuxième Cru Classé in de beroemde classificatie van 1855 en behoort tot de grote wijnfamilie Dubourdieu - al sinds 1924. Onder leiding van Fabrice en Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu is het domein uitgegroeid tot een van de absolute referenties voor elegante en precieze zoete wijnen uit Barsac.
'Pape de Blanc' Denis Dubourdieu
Met name Denis Dubourdieu geldt als een beroemdheid in Bordeaux: zijn innovatieve wijnmaakmethoden hadden bijzonder veel invloed in Bordeaux. Zelfs Château d'Yquem kwam om advies bij hem, maar bijvoorbeeld ook châteaus als Cheval Blanc en Pavillon Blanc van Château Margaux wisten zijn expertise te vinden. Jane Anson noemt het dit jaar "Another exceptional name in the Barsac appellation".
Meer Sémillon
Doisy-Daëne maakte dit jaar een blend met aanzienlijk meer Sémillon (88%) en Sauvignon Blanc. In vergelijking met de andere wijnen een prachtige lichtvoetigheid. Vinous schreef: "The 2025 Doisy-Daëne is aromatic, lifted and sculpted. Green apple, pear, jasmine and crushed rocks are finely delineated in an airy Barsac that has so much to offer."

Sweet and pure, this has real clarity with a lightly framed core of stone peach fruit and cool baked apple flavours. Lacks a touch of flesh. I like the cool lemon and lime, peach and pear but this isn’t super long. It’s refined with purity but want more. Ends stony and mineral which is nice.
