It has a riper-than-usual nose of citrus, honeyed lemon, white flowers, and chalky minerality, and on the palate, it's rich, pure, and concentrated, with remarkable depth and focus. As always, this is a brilliant, singular, absolutely riveting expression of Sauvignon Blanc.

Clementines, grapefruit, white pear, chamomile and elderflower on the nose. Gorgeous zesty appeal - bright and focused, upfront with a tangy freshly picked green apple core. Succulent and almost sweet with a dollop of lemon sherbet and pineapple but with such clear and crystalline acidity. Intense and concentrated, extremely rich but lifted by the acidity. Definitely has an opulence to this - it’s wide, impactful and long lasting on the finish with peach and apricot notes. No aggressive acidity, more fresh and soft fruit but with real mass. Gorgeous, juicy and just makes you smile. What a wonderful wine. A yield of 16hl/ha. 3.14pH. Harvest 18-22 August.

The 2025 Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux sails out of the glass with notes of honey-drizzled white peaches, juicy pears, and passion fruit, plus nuances of beeswax and elderflower with a waft of allspice. The medium- to full-bodied palate delivers a wonderfully crisp backbone with a satiny texture and intense orchard and tropical fruit layers, finishing long and spicy. This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. It has a pH of 3.14, and the alcohol is 14%. The yield was 16 hl/ha.

The 2025 Pavillon Blanc is a total stunner. Tangerine peel, white peach, passion fruit and white pepper are some of the many notes that soar from the glass. The team opted for less bâtonnage than most years, as the fruit was already quite rich. Yields were just 16 hectoliters per hectare. The 2025 is an unusually exotic Pavillon Blanc, a wine with a very strong personality. I find it compelling, but I can also imagine some readers may find it a bit too rich.
