"Plenty of struck match wildness, but offers pear and grapefuit, rosemary and mint, a slip of salted pistachio and spiced oak, parmesan rind and green mango. It’s tight, but kind of fleshy, flinty and savoury, plenty of lees derived sour yoghourt flavour, cool mint and toasty cashew oak to close on a finish of excellent length and chalky phenolic grip. No shortage of winery work, for sure, but it’s a bold and compelling wine. And very good it is."

"Light yellow colour with a bouquet of oatmeal, cream, hazelnuts and smoky toasty oak undercurrents. Intense, rich palate with delicacy as well as generosity; a more ample wine than the Floris and more complex, still subtle and refined, with terrific length and precision. Karridale fruit, Dijon clones 76 and 95; pure yeast strain; no MLF; batonnage only in tank."

"Whole cluster press, unfined, fermented and aged in 40% new oak barrels with10 months on lees. There is no malo and only battonage in the tank just prior to bottling. Purus by name, purus by nature. The fruit is from cool vineyards in Karridale, the southernmost unofficial sub-region of Margaret River. From Dijon clones 76 and 95, this is certainly not a Gin Gin centric Chardonnay. A wine with personality, honesty, and transparency. Slippery and silky on the nose with long nougatine threads, it gently pads out the mouth, peeking into nooks and crannies. Tension and lace, with pinhole texture and purity – look away if you are seeking a flinty, reductive Chardonnay. Soft white peach flesh, orange blossom, and a long line of tight minerality. Hints of lanolin, verbena and fresh tuberose make for a long, harmonious, and eloquent wine."
