Zo ontzettend goed dat ie in z'n jonge jaren nauwelijks onderdoet voor z'n grote broers. Die vertonen vooral na enige jaren flesrijping hun ware potentieel. Net als de Glaetzer icoonwijnen stoelt Bishop op shiraz van zeer oude stokken (35 tot 120 jaar oud) uit Ebenerzer, stilistisch gezien een van de meest gulle en genereuze subregio's van Barossa Valley. Waar Amon-Ra en Anaperenna rijpen op 100% nieuw eiken is dat bij Bishop slechts 40% en dat maakt de wijn ook in zijn jeugd meer open en toegankelijk dan Glaetzer's icoonwijnen. The depth and concentration of the fruit have demanded 40% new French oak, which has been handled effortlessly. Deep chocolate and a little ironstone complexity are a compelling combination.
