Proefnotitie

De eerste jaargang van een volwassen wijngaard op kalksteen in Hawke's Bay, in 2017 aangekocht door de familie Brajkovich. Meteen Wine of the Week bij Jancis Robinson (17,5/20): 'Quite a 'stony' nose and already lots of fun. Seems more than a year more evolved than the 2019. At a very nice stage now. Fresh and minerally and super-crisp but quite satisfying and not meagre at all. Super-clean. Just right for current drinking. If only all white burgundy offered this accessibility (I'm talking both price and taste). Really quite long. A neat, complete wine.'

Bob Campbell MW
95/100 punten
First release of chardonnay from a newly acquired Hawke’s Bay vineyard on a north-facing site with limestone soils. Pure, taut wine with chalk, mineral, grapefruit, citrus, bran biscuit and nutty oak flavours. An impressive debut.

An impressive bouquet, palate and texture with aromas and flavours of ripe citrus and orchard stone fruits, layers of fine lees and oak along with ripe acidity and moderate alcohol give this wine the structure it needs to carry the weight and intensity of fruit. A wine with finesse, great texture and length. Balanced with medium+ length and complexity.

James Suckling
92/100 punten
From a newly acquired site in Hawke’s Bay, this has a gently waxy edge and displays a wealth of ripe melon and pears. The palate is supple and mellow, very even and elegant with effortless length.
