Herkomst & Tolpuddle Vineyard
Tolpuddle Vineyard behoort tot de meest bejubelde wijngaarden van Tasmanië. Gelegen in de Coal River Valley en aangeplant in 1988, profiteert het domein van een koel klimaat, een lang groeiseizoen en schrale zandsteenbodems. Deze omstandigheden zorgen voor Chardonnay met intensiteit, verfijning en ongeëvenaarde natuurlijke zuren. Tolpuddle is daarmee een referentie voor moderne, precisiegedreven cool-climate chardonnay.
De Tolpuddle Chardonnay 2024 is een schoolvoorbeeld van deze stijl: puur, gefocust, mineraal en verbluffend elegant – een wijn die internationaal jaar op jaar de hoogste lof ontvangt.
Smaak & vinificatie
De vinificatie is volledig gericht op spanning, textuur en terroirexpressie. De druiven worden zorgvuldig geoogst, geperst en gefermenteerd in Franse eikenhouten vaten (deels nieuw), gevolgd door malolactische gisting en rijping op fijne lies voor extra diepte zonder aan frisheid in te boeten.

- Geur: citrus en witte perzik, hazelnoot, struck match reductie, grapefruit, mint en rook
- Smaak: strak en intens met grapefruit, citroenconfit, perzik, steelachtige mineraliteit, specerijen en subtiel hout
- Afdronk: lang, gefocust en messcherp, met levendige zuren, pittige spanning en elegante zoutige precisie
