A fifth-growth that offers some of the best value in the entire red 1855 classification. It has violet edging and clear ripeness to the fruit, with rosemary and dried herbs through the mid-palate. The tannins have grip and are not planning on going anywhere. It's a step up in ageability, and a corresponding step down in ease of tasting right now.

The 2018 Camensac is a racy Haut-Médoc that expresses the natural richness of the vintage beautifully. Super-ripe red cherry, mint, sweet spice and new oak add to the wine's extroverted personality. Powerful and exquisitely layered, the 2018 has so much to offer. This 2018 is impressive in the early going. Tasted two times.
Blueberries with hints of hazelnuts and chocolate on the nose and palate. Full body. Velvety tannins. Nicely done.
